Bloomingdales multi-charity event, “The Shopping Benefit”, will take place on October 29, 2009 at Bloomingdales White Plains. The event will be held from 10am to 10pm and it will support over 40 local charities including Habitat for Humanity of Westchester.

 

clip_image002“The Shopping Benefit” will feature storewide entertainment, discounts and fashion events! 100% of the ticket price will benefit participating charities.

The purchase of a $10 ticket entitles you to take 15% off almost every purchase, even sale-priced items or take 20% off when you spend $300 or more on your Bloomingdale’s card that day. Some exclusions apply, see ticket for details.

Plus, Bloomingdale’s will donate an additional $5 to the charity stamped on the back of the ticket when you bring in the ticket to the store on the day of the event.

*********************** IMPORTANT CHANGE *************

Due to the increment weather, the 9-11 Memorial & Candlelight Vigil, sponsored by the United Veterans Memorial & Patriotic Association of New Rochelle, will be held tonight 7:30 PM at the American Legion Post 8 Hall, 112 North Ave, New Rochelle.  Parking either on site or in the Mormon Church lot across the street.

Come join us as we REMEMBER our fallen brothers and sisters who perished on or because of September 11, 2001.  It will be an evening of healing through remembrance, prayer, and song.  The many heroes who were taken or made that day shall Never Be Forgotten!  The program will include short prayers from multiple religions, patriotic songs, and mention or remarks from those who lost loved ones because of 9-11.
